OBC Women’s Ministry provides snacks to the school nurses at the four Arab City Schools and the four Brindlee Mountain Schools. This ministry provides a healthy snack for the nurses so that they can have something available in case of a “hungry” stomach ache, or for a diabetic child. Without this ministry, school nurses must provide the snacks from out-of-pocket money. Ways to help with this ministry? Donations are always welcome, and volunteers are appreciated to help distribute the snacks.
OBC is a proud partner of the Sacks of Love Ministry. This ministry, formerly known as Blessings in a Backpack, provides food for eligible children to take home with them for the weekend. It is our mission that no child go hungry. You can get involved in this ministry through donations, packing bags, or distributing the bags.
OBC is also a partner in the Room in the Inn Ministry, and our church is opened to homeless people one night per month during the months of December—March. Volunteers are always needed for this ministry to help prepare food, spend the night at church, or simply spend time and sharing the gospel.
If you are interested in getting involved in any of these studies or activities and need more information, please contact the church secretary, Becky Hawkins at (256) 640-6789, or by email at email@example.com.
